The variety of cars is breathtaking, so many different engineering and design solutions are represented, such a stark contrast to the monotony of today’s cars., differentiated now only by their livery.

Who gives a video like this a thumbs down???? WTF??? This is pure GOLD! The 70’s and 80’s were the very best of rally, and Britain’s events were at the center of it all. These videos are so important, they are an archive of both the legacy of the sport and a snapshot of the time. A view into the past for future generations and nostalgic old fans. Wonderful film! So many driving icons and legendary cars. The variety of cars is something we will never see again.....

The perfect era of rallying for me. Best looking cars, reasonably powerful, and all RWD. Total sideways action from start to finish of every special stage, and still safe compared to what was around the corner in the 80s. I mean Group B is mythical, and cool era in itself but maybe slightly for the wrong reasons. Group 4 still has the homely feeling of a great rallying adventure, with drivers wringing every last drop of performance from the naturally aspirated engines. I think Group B killed that, and turned rallying into a clinical, technical race to the top. Maybe putting the human aspect to the sidelines a bit. Thanks for the upload!

For the circuit report, amusing that McRae is hardly mentioned let alone shown (apart from when making a mistake) even though always in top 2!
